Landing Gear

Identify whether the bottom horizontal rod or vertical rod connecting to the the bottom plate has failed

Bottom Horizontal Landing Gear Rod

1. Use 1.5 mm screwdriver to disassemble inverted T shaped connector piece by removing the bottom screw.
2. Remove the rubber stoppers from the end of the landing gear rod and pull the failed component through the T shaped connecter.
3. Push the replacement bottom landing gear rod through the fixed T shaped connecter. Visually inspect to ensure rod is symmetrical and evenly spaced on both sides with respect to the connector.
4. Re insert 1.5 mm screw into bottom slot of connector until translational and rotational movement of the new rod is restricted.
5. Re attach rubber inserts onto both ends of the rod
